Sign-up for the Kentucky Soil Erosion and Water Quality Cost Share
Program by the Kentucky Division of Conservation(DOC) is continuous.
You can contact the office of the District to request a farm visit from
our soil technician to view and discuss any environmental issue. If
there is an environmental issue that is eligible under the DOC's
guidelines you may submit an application at any time.
The yearly cutoff date for applying for the next year State Cost Share
funding is October 31st.
10/31/2026 Application deadline for 2027 Funding
The Kentucky Soil and Water Conservation Commission will approve funding in February for the ranked applications received in November of the prior year as funds are available for the approval year. The cost share rate is 75% up to the approved cost share amount not to exceed $20,000.

For programs such as Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), and Agriculture Conservation Easement Program-Wetland Reserve Easement (ACEP-WRE), please
call the District office at 502-863-2466 to be connected to our
soil technician who works out of the Penn Avenue office at least
once a day a week, and can schedule farm visits as needed.
Our technician would be happy to discuss your projects and the
programs offered by the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS).
